A Job That’s Never Finished: The History of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK

The idea was simple: an afterschool job for two high school students to move people’s belongings in the Lansing, Mich., area and make a little extra cash.

When TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Founder Mary Ellen Sheets helped her two sons, Brig Sorber and Jon Sorber, launch this small business, she had no idea it would grow into the country’s first and largest franchised moving company with more than 430 locations across the United States, Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

Nearly 40 years later, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK still operates as a customer service and people business first — and  we continually look forward to finding new ways to better serve our customers. From time to time, we still like to look back and take a trip down memory lane to revisit how it all got started!

With this in mind, we present: A Job That’s Never Finished: The History of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK.

Enjoy!
