Nick Bailey recognized by Franchise Business Review for his hard work as a multi-unit franchisee.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s Nick Bailey was identified by franchise research firm, Franchise Business Review, as being one of 2024’s Franchise Rock Stars.
Bailey was selected from hundreds of nominations from brands that participated in Franchise Business Review’s franchisee satisfaction research.
The Franchise Rock Stars were nominated by their franchise brand’s leadership in one of eight categories as franchisees who set admirable examples when it comes to leadership, business acumen, financial and professional success, and contributing to their community. Categories included: Giving Back, Women, Millennials, Veterans, Family-Owned, “Freshmen”, Top-Performers, and Multi-Unit Owners.
“I’ve longed my entire life to be a rock star. Those Billy Idol ’Rock Star ‘commercials for workday really speak to me. It is intensely rewarding that from now on, if someone ever Googles my name, I may be officially associated with the term,” said Bailey.
“There are so many stories of inspiring franchise owners who are living their dreams of successful business ownership. Each franchisee brings unique abilities, values, and skills to their franchise brand,” said Eric Stites, founder & CEO of Franchise Business Review.
Bailey started as a mover and driver for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Madison in 1998 while attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During that time, he learned what it meant to be in a frontline position on the trucks, helping customers during what would often be stressful moves.
A year later, in 1999, Bailey decided to take on the heavy lifting in a different way when he and his father purchased a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise in Burnsville, Minnesota, which started as a two-truck operation and grew from there. This was just the start for Bailey as he worked to expand and make a name for himself. In 2013, Bailey decided it was time to expand and opened the St. Paul North location with a storage office and warehouse space. Bailey’s determination and leadership didn’t stop there, because between 2020-2023, Bailey went on to open 8 new locations in the Minnesota and Wisconsin areas.
“Nick’s contributions to the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK system as a leader have been immeasurable,” said Franchise Compliance Director Pam Batten. He continues to expand his footprint to serve even more customers while also creating opportunities for his team members to grow in their roles and/or take on new challenges. He has built such a strong culture and continues to be an important part of the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK system and our growth. We appreciate everything Nick has done and are looking forward to what he and his team will accomplish in the future!”
