TWO MEN AND A TRUCK celebrates Women’s History Month by recognizing past and present leadership across its franchise network

March is Women’s History Month, which is a great time to celebrate the wonderful accomplishments women have made throughout history, especially at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK.

For those who don’t know, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK was founded by a woman – Mary Ellen Sheets – in the 1980s as a local business in Lansing, Mich., to help move customers in the area. It has since grown to become a national, full-service franchised moving company,, completing more than 10 million moves as a brand, and the leadership of women has been present for all of the 40 years we’ve been in operation.

Sheets’ daughter, Melanie Bergeron, was the very first franchisee for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK when she opened her location in Atlanta, Georgia and since then, the brand has benefited from the strong leadership of women at the franchisee and management levels.

Recently, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK was featured on Franchise Business Review’s “Top 100 Franchises for Women” list for the fourth-straight year, showcasing how our brand has been a mainstay for women looking to get into business ownership.

"Being a woman leader at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is an honor, and this award reflects our commitment to inclusion and empowering women in business,” said TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Multi-Unit Franchisee Lisa Paley. “I’m proud to be part of a brand that supports growth and leadership for all."
